Optica Sensing Congress (OSC) 2025,
(July 20-24, 2025)
I deeply appreciate and acknowledge DORA for partial financial support. Attending Optica
Sensing Congress- 2025 was fruitful to many levels. I got opportunity to attend and present my
research work at OSC– 2025 in-person. I had interacted with international professionals and
experts, got their questions and feedback in research area of spectroscopy and its applications
in biosensors. I also discussed future post-doctoral opportunities.
My Ph.D. research work is on the development of surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy
(SERS) sensors for detection of food adulterants, respiratory viruses, and biomarkers of
traumatic brain injury, which completely align with the conference objectives (optical sensors,
applied industrial spectroscopy and quantum sensing and metrology). I learned and discovered
relevant techniques for sensing in an industrial environment such as real-time process
monitoring on the factory floor, spectroscopic food safety inspection and spectroscopic analysis
in harsh environments.

9th International Seminar on Fire and Explosion Hazards at Saint-Petersburg, Russia, during April 21-26, 2019 "I was given Partial Support from DORA, IIT R to present my work in an international conference (ISFEH 9) held in St Petersburg, Russia (21-26 April, 2019). International Seminar on Fire and Explosion Hazards (ISFEH) during its more than 20-year history has become one of the important international events in fire and explosion science and engineering. As this conference was mainly related to my thesis topic, so it helped me to know about the recent developments in this area. Also, it gave me the chance to present my work in front of various prominent professors and other members coming from all over the world and get constructive feedback. Since I was the only Indian in the conference compared to 55 from China, 45 from Russia, 35 from UK, etc. so it also enhanced the visibility of IIT Roorkee and India at international forum of such high reputation. AESOP Annual Congress 2019, 9-13 July 2019, Venice, Italy
"My experience of attending the international
conference at Venice in July 2019. Most importantly the
conference was a moral booster for me. Conference has had
a positive effect, I guess i am more serious about my
research after the conference. Conference gave an insight
into the world of research work in Urban planning,
management and governance of cities across different
continents. It was a good learning experience as it was my
first international conference out side our country.
Researchers from about 35 countries participated in the
conference with more than 650 papers presented in parallel
sessions. I got to interact with some of the well known
persons in the field of my study and it was my wish to
meet people whose papers and books i have read and
referred through my masters and Phd research.
I would like to thank Dean DORA IITR and HOD Department of Architecture and Planning for the encouragement and financial help for attending the conference, without which travelling to the conference would have been difficult for me."

27th International Nuclear Physics Conference (INPC 2019), Glasgow, UK during 29 July to 2 August, 2019 "I find conferences rejuvenating. They are inspirational and energizing opportunities to connect with the greater scientific community, think about new strategies to approach my research, contemplate the bigger picture, and establish collaborations. I enjoy presenting my research, catching up with old friends and making new ones, and being exposed to new ideas. The main benefits I get out of conferences are feedback, collegial support, a sense of intellectual community, and time to talk to friends and colleagues about collaborative projects. Probably the most important takeaway is a motivational high for the next fortnight to plough ahead on new or dormant ideas. I would like to thank DORA office IITR for providing me financial support for attending an international conference."
